Detailed presentation of the project content:
During the project, we intend to design and complete a unique automated product capable of creating and optimizing nutrient solutions as well as capable of administrating precision liquid dosage based on data analysis and processing of certain parameters of plants collected via monitoring of the different plant arameters.
Hydroponics is a soilless growing technology whose market and technology are still in the process of developing. Since with hydroponics the plants do not grow on top of the soil, the necessary nutrients should be replenished with adequate nutrient solutions. Plants require more attention in addition to the limited possibility of nutrient uptake, which we also want to automate with the use of sensors.
During the project, we will have to carry out researches regarding the following areas: application field, the continuous measurement of hydroponic cultures using sensors, out researches regarding the following areas: application field, the continuous measurement of hydroponic cultures using sensors, completed by the research of multispectral photosensor usage, nutrient solutions and solution groups with the right concentrations, examining the nutrient behaviour in the dispensing device, as well as on the subject of the precision dosage algorithm.
The main pillar of the system is the prediction platform, which allows the liquid-based nutrient dosage to be achieved with very high precision, adapting to the needs of different application fields and being able to achieve precision dosage with even with very high accuracy, measured in millilitres.
